The Big Wide Open Web...

Following yesterday's reflections on networking I started searching for thematically linked blogs. I found quite a few, and interestingly enough, google was more useful than most bloeg search engines...

On the subject of harmonicas, there a nice blog called Cool Harp Links which narrates the travails of Dave who is learning how to play blues diatonic. I think a lot of beginners or intermediate players will see themselves in many of his anecdotes. Very nice.

A sligtly less direct route to harmonicas is Can't Count Sheep, a blog about many things not music related. However, it includes an interesting poem entitled Harmonica. The poem talks about a Lee Oskar ten-hole and makes a parallel between playing and kissing. Not entirely inappropriate, if I say so myself !

I also did a quick search on jam rock, and came up with two interesting candidates. Live Music Blog has a ton of infos, reviews, downloads and more besides. I don't find it extremely legible, so I haven't dug too deep yet, but there's a lot of data there. I was more taken by the appearance of JamBase Rhapsody, which is also packed with info and sexy looking too. Something tells me I have just found another excuse for procrastination at work !!!

Good links -- thanks for sharing!

Not legible? Text? Writing? Email me and let me know. I'm always working to improve, and this is my first go around as a web admin, so I just need a good kick in the pants to learn what to change, etc. Thanks.
